Subsidy
Only regulated and approved dayhomes can be used for subsidized childcare. Subsidies are not available for drop-in centres, nursery schools, or other forms of unregulated childcare.
To qualify for subsidized childcare, parents must meet one of these eligibility criteria:
- Demonstrate a need for subsidy (e.g. looking for work, employed or enrolled in a training program, self employed or in special circumstances)
- A parent or child has special needs
