Day Home Consultants

Day home consultants provide support, advice, and resources for educators. They are responsible for monitoring approved family day home educators for compliance to the family day home standards. Our day home consultants also assist new educators in initial home set up, home safety, daily programming and planning.

Agency consultants help educators to:

  • develop programs for children at different stages of development
  • provide advice about nutritious meal planning
  • choose toys and equipment that are safe and developmentally appropriate

Day home consultants are:

  • educated and trained in Early Childhood Development
  • first aid certificate
  • police security clearance
  • child intervention check
  • be pleasant and personable when interacting with parents and educators
  • be knowledgeable in educator competencies and day home environment
  • good at planning and problem solving skills
